Welcome! This month Tall Pines Quilt Guild celebrates 41 years of service to the Huntsville community. As we welcome 2025, let’s continue to honor the legacy and traditions built in the past as we move into the future!
My husband and I have worked, lived, and raised our family here for 30 years. I am excited and honored to have the opportunity to serve as the guild’s president and be able to give back in return for the fellowship, friendship, and skills that I have gained as a guild member. I invite you to begin this new year and find your niche! As a member, you can become involved in any of a number of ways including, embroidery bee, charity bee (serving 5 local organizations including Head Start), Walker County Fair Quilt Show, Fair on the Square fundraiser, scholarship committee, workshops, and raffle quilt fundraiser. Mostly, we are a community that shares a passion and love for quilting and fiber arts. I encourage you to read the article in the January, 2025 Piney Woods Edition of Postcards magazine about our guild. The words and pictures truly capture the spirit of who we are! We meet on the first Monday of the month at Huntsville Church of Christ at 6:30 pm with a Meet & Greet at 6:00 pm. I hope to see you there! Happy New Year! Lydia Klespis, President January, 2025 |
