Information:Meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
10am until 3pm First Presbyterian Church 1801 19th St. Huntsville, TX 77340 Contact: Susan Craig Ladies, save those UPC labels from the Hobbs packaged batting. Any size will work. Turn them in to me at the guild meetings or leave them in my folder at the Fabric Carousel. Thanks, Susan Thanks, for the UPC labels. I was able to order 2 large rolls of batting. I have received them and have some cut for Charity bee. We received 100% bleached cotton with a scrim. It is very nice and will quilt beautifully. I think you will love working with this instead of the poly we have been using. Susan Donations for Good Shepard MissionPlease do not bring can goods and food items for the Mission to the guild meetings. We are no longer collecting food. We will only be collecting cash donations at the guild meetings. We feel that cash will better suit the needs of the Mission, enabling them to purchase perishable foods. Thank you.

Charity BeeCharity Bee meets monthly on the 3rd Tues. to make small quilts for local Charities that service children and other helpful items to donate to the hospitals and nursing homes of Huntsville. There is always good conversation and of course a good lunch. If you can join please come help out the community by doing something you love! Charity bee will be held on August 17,2010 at the usual place and time. Robin Rodriquez will be filling in for me while I am out with back surgery. Please give her your support by attending Charity bee. Thank you, Susan Charity Bee is in need of a new Chairperson I have enjoyed being the Chairperson for Charity Bee very much over the last 2+ years. Due to health problems I am forced to step down at the end of 2010. I would very much like to stay involved in the bee and help the new chairperson or persons learn the ropes. It is not a difficult job and it is very rewarding, especially in November when the Hugs and donations are delivered to the different Charities. Please consider this job, it is a vital part of our Guild. A list of duties for this bee are listed in the June 2010 newsletter. Please contact me by email or phone if you would like to learn more. Thanks, Susan Craig, Charity bee Purpose: Promote charitable projects for our community Investigate community charities for potential gifts Provide information to the Executive Board meetings for their vote Distribute designated funds by year's end Distribute designated goods in a timely manner Wanted QuiltersWanted Quilters!!!!!!!!
Charity Bee is in need of quilters to quilt the hugs that we donate every year to our local Charities. We have over 50 tops ready to quilt. They can be tied, machine quilted or hand quilted. They are just he right size for you to learn free hand machine quilting on or stitch in the ditch with your walking foot. If it isn't as pretty as you want it to be or your stitches are not quite right, we don't care. They just need to be held together and you know what, pretty soon you will be quilting like a pro! Please contact Susan Craig if you would like to work on a quilted Hug. Pillow Case WorkshopIf you missed Charity bee in April, you really missed a great time. We worked all day on Pillow cases for the Pillow Case Challenge. I had 2 tables piled high with fabric. The ladies had such fun picking the fabrics for their pillow cases. We have some very talented people in our guild. The pillow cases turned out so beautiful. Everyone did such a wonderful job and we made 62 pillow cases. We decided to sell some in the General Store at the Airing to raise money for batting and fabrics for our quilted "Hugs" we make for the local Charities. Don't miss the next workshop put on by Charity bee, it is always a blast! Susan
