Ladies, save those UPC labels from the Hobbs packaged batting. Any size will work. Turn them in to me at the guild meetings or leave them in my folder or the charity closet at the Fabric Carousel. Thanks, Robin Donations for Good Shepard MissionPlease do not bring can goods and food items for the Mission to the guild meetings. We are no longer collecting food. We will only be collecting cash donations at the guild meetings. We feel that cash will better suit the needs of the Mission, enabling them to purchase perishable foods. Thank you.

Charity BeeCharity Bee meets monthly to make small quilts for local Charities that service children and other helpful items to donate to the hospitals and nursing homes of Huntsville.
Donations of Hugs for the last 2 years has been dropping. Charity Bee is challenging every Guild member to make at least one quilted Hug a year for our local Charities. Please help make a child warm and happy. Thank you Martha for your plea of Quilted Hugs for your Christmas gift this year. There is no better gift than the gift of Love, especially to a Child. There is always good conversation and of course a good lunch. If you can join please come help out the community by doing something you love! A Hug is a simple quilt made for a child in need. Sizes range from baby to large lap size. We have pre cut kits, batting, backs and binding. If you have a top and need something to finish it, come to bee and we can help. If you are unable to attend bee, then please consider doing a project at home, either from a Charity kit or your own stash. Thank you. Purpose: Promote charitable projects for our community Investigate community charities for potential gifts Provide information to the Executive Board meetings for their vote Distribute designated funds by year's end Distribute designated goods in a timely manner Wanted QuiltersWanted Quilters!!!!!!!!
Charity Bee is in need of quilters to quilt the hugs that we donate every year to our local Charities. We have tops ready to quilt. They can be tied, machine quilted or hand quilted. They are just the right size for you to learn free hand machine quilting on or stitch in the ditch with your walking foot. If it isn't as pretty as you want it to be or your stitches are not quite right, we don't care. They just need to be held together and you know what, pretty soon you will be quilting like a pro! Please contact Robin Rodriquez or Susan Craig if you would like to work on a quilted Hug. 2011 Donations2011 CHARITY DONATIONS
